Welcome to the AIKB Photo Club
Our club offers a warm welcome to new members regardless of their photographic level and whether they use a mobile phone or camera to take photos.
The aims of the club are:
Members share their experience, knowledge and advice so as to help new and existing members learn new skills and to enjoy their photography. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Club activities
The running of the club is overseen by the committee. Any club member can serve on the committee. The AGM is held in January of each year.
Various social events and trips are also organised, including our Christmas lunch and presentation of awards. A calendar of meeting dates is attached.
The club has a dedicated section on the AIKB website. This includes a gallery of member events and trips. Also the first, second and third places from the Challenge are displayed on the website and also on the AIKB Facebook pages.
The club has a dedicated Facebook page. This is private and for the exclusive use of members. It is a way of sharing recent photographs, arranging informal photography trips, news and advertising surplus equipment. For those who do not use Facebook, this information will be shared via e-mail.
Each year the club organises an Open Photography Competition. This is arranged by a separate working group within the club. Entry is open to the general public and anyone can submit up to three entries. All entries are exhibited in the room over the AIKB offices in Gouarec. There is a theme, such as “Reflections” or the “Natural World”.
