The Art & Textiles Group is a friendly and helpful group with different skills and varying levels of experience. Lack of experience is not a bar to participation. On the contrary, the Group is open to all, either you are an absolute beginner or well experienced.
Our aim is to inspire, encourage and improve - whilst having fun!
We enjoy painting but also enjoy using new materials and learn new techniques.
In the summer, we organize an exhibition, which is a great opportunity for us to show our creations.
We are well supplied with items for everyone to use, including sewing machines, fabric, paints and canvases. There is plenty of support and sharing of knowledge. New ideas are regularly discussed to incorporate individual requests. We learn different techniques and use different mediums, sometimes linking the two skill sets on joint projects.
We meet on Fridays from 1:45pm until 4pm and alternate art and textiles sessions:
Art: AIKB (1st Floor), Pavillon des Rohan in Gouarec
Textiles: Salle Polyvalente in Gouarec.

Membership of AIKB is a prerequisite but also allows access to other groups, various services and benefits.
